Three Rivers Camp - Kafunta Safaris

Three Rivers Camp

Three Rivers Camp is a luxurious tented safari camp situated at the confluence of the Luangwa, Kapamba, and Lusangazi Rivers in South Luangwa, Zambia. The camp features stylish tents nestled under shady sausage trees, offering views of the Luangwa River or the game-rich lagoon. It’s the first camp established on the border of the Malama Chiefdom and the national park, providing a spectacular location where wildlife passes through camp. The dining area boasts stunning views of both the Luangwa and Kapamba Rivers, with opportunities to observe hippos on the river sand. Some tents are positioned on the edge of the oxbow lagoon, allowing guests to relax on plush daybeds while observing giraffes and waterbucks. Each tent also has its own private sleep out for a night under the stars in the African bush.

Activities at Three Rivers Camp include game drives in the South Luangwa National Park, bush walks around the camp area and river banks, and short night drives before dinner. Walking between Three Rivers Camp and Island Bush Camp is recommended for a unique experience. The camp operates seasonally from 25 May to 1 November and accommodates only five spacious tents, each elegantly decorated with natural materials and earthy hues. The dining lounge overlooks the river and lagoon, providing a perfect spot to observe hippos and crocodiles while enjoying delicious meals prepared with high standards.

With its intimate setting, breathtaking views, and abundant wildlife, Three Rivers Camp offers an unforgettable safari experience in Zambia’s South Luangwa region.
