Rhino Island Camp
Rhino Island
Rhino Safari Camp is a charming and authentic Bushcamp nestled in the lush bushveld along the shores of Lake Kariba, at the north-western edge of the Matusadona National Park. As a small, owner-operated camp with just 14 beds, they take pride in offering warm and personalized hospitality, along with exceptional guiding, creating a perfect harmony of comfort and informality in the heart of the wilderness. The camp is open year-round and boasts a spacious main boma at the entrance, where guests can gather, dine, and unwind. The open-sided design allows the refreshing breeze from the lake to flow through, creating a serene atmosphere.
Each of the seven twin-bedded rooms is nestled in the Jesse bush along the lakeshore, featuring wooden elevated platforms with thatch roofs and half-reeded walls for natural ventilation. Every room includes a wardrobe, dressing table, and seating area to ensure guests enjoy great comfort without losing touch with their natural surroundings. Furthermore, there is an open-air bathroom at the back of each room with basic amenities available.
