Mwamfushi Safari Lodge
Welcome to Mwamfushi Safari Lodge, nestled in the heart of Zambia’s Kafue National Park, just 310km from the capital city of Lusaka. The lodge is a tranquil retreat situated along the remote banks of the Great Kafue River, offering a breathtaking setting surrounded by abundant wildlife.
Founded and owned locally, the lodge is named after the Mwamfushi river in the Mpika district of Muchinga Province. The founder, Musonda Katebe, is a passionate advocate for tourism as a vital sector for economic development. He believes in fostering vibrant and inclusive participation from both domestic and foreign investors, making tourism products accessible to local and international tourists.
At Mwamfushi Safari Lodge, they are dedicated to local eco-tourism and wildlife conservation. In line with this vision, they aim to incorporate eco-training into their business model, working with the government and partners to provide eco-training to the local community surrounding the national park.
Our lodge offers 9 all-thatched chalets, each facing the river. Accommodation options include 3 standard deluxe chalets, 5 luxury tented chalets, and a 3-bedroom family cottage with self-catering facilities. Each chalet features an ensuite bathroom with solar lighting and hot water.
