Mkulumadzi Camps – Robin Pope Safaris

Mkulumadzi is situated by the scenic Shire River, near the impressive Kapichira Falls. The lodge provides eight delightful chalets, each featuring a private lounge, en-suite bathroom, and a personal viewing deck for guests to relish the beautiful river views. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the lodge offers various amenities including an infinity pool overlooking the river, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a cozy bar, and a lapa for evening campfires.

Accommodation options at the lodge consist of three double chalets, two twin chalets, one honeymoon chalet, and two-family chalets. Each family chalet comprises two en-suite bedrooms connected by a lounge area. The facilities in each chalet include en-suite bathrooms with double basins, both shower and bath options, tea/coffee making facilities, and a stocked minibar fridge. However, it’s important to note that WIFI or telephone reception is not available at the lodge.

Guests can engage in various activities such as game drives, bush walks, cultural tours, and game viewing from a hide at nearby Elephant Marsh. The lodge’s rate includes all local drinks and meals. Additionally, there is an option to explore a connoisseur’s wine and spirits list at an extra cost. However, guests with severe nut allergies should be aware that the lodge cannot guarantee a completely nut-free environment.

The lodge operates on solar power with a backup generator for cloudy days, and tap water is sourced from a borehole and deemed safe for drinking. Evening Breeze air conditioning units have been installed in all chalets. Children of all ages are welcome at the lodge, with two family suites available.
