Welcome to Mawimbi Bush Camp, a hidden gem nestled on the west banks of the Kafue River, offering an unparalleled safari experience. Situated inside the National Park, a prime location provides exclusive access to remarkable wildlife encounters and a variety of safari activities.

Getting to Mawimbi  bush camp is part of the adventure. A scenic 4-hour road transfer from Lusaka brings you to Hook Bridge, followed by a thrilling 45-minute game drive deeper into the park. For those seeking a swifter journey, a 45-minute chartered flight from Lusaka to Chunga Airstrip is also available.

Mawimbi bush camp boasts four private luxury tents that are thoughtfully designed with eco-conscious practices in mind. Each tent offers breathtaking views of the Kafue River and features outdoor yet en-suite bathrooms, complete with on-demand hot water bucket showers and flushing eco-toilets. The mosquito-proof bedrooms and private covered verandahs allow guests to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying the comfort of their accommodations.

At Mawimbi, they cater to various guest preferences. Tents can be arranged as doubles or twins, and additional beds can be added upon request for families or groups. We welcome children aged 12 and above

The camp operates from April 1st to November 15th each season, offering delectable meals, teas, and coffee served from our main area. Mawimbi bush camp prioritize sustainability by providing solar power for electricity and paraffin lanterns for additional lighting. While there is no WiFi or cell phone coverage, drinking water is readily available in the tents and main area.
