Ingwe – Machaba Safaris
Ingwe – Machaba Safaris
Ingwe Camp is conveniently situated just 16 km from the Mana Pools National Park Reception Office and only 8 km from the Mana Main airstrip, within the exclusive Wilderness Area. The camp is located on the edge of one of the largest pans in the region, named after Ingwe pan, which is found in the Wilderness Area of Mana Pools National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This pan is renowned for its frequent leopard sightings and is home to shy antelope such as nyala, which inhabit the nearby Jesse bush and riverine thickets of the Chiruwe River. Surrounded by Jackal berry and Nyala berry trees, with a striking Fig tree as its focal point and nearby Baobab groves, the camp blends seamlessly into this diverse environment. The southern side of the pan is bordered by 8 large Meru-style tents. The area offers exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities both by vehicle and on foot, with professional guided walks and game drives available to guests. As the camp is located in a private concession, visitors can enjoy the privacy of the pan, outstanding on-site game viewing, and breathtaking uninterrupted night skies.
