Mfuwe Lodge

Mfuwe Lodge is an award-winning accommodation nestled within the South Luangwa National Park, offering a serene setting beneath a canopy of ebony and mahogany trees. The lodge features thatched buildings arranged around two lagoons, providing excellent opportunities for armchair game-viewing and relaxation by the swimming pool and spa.

Accommodation options include 18 guest chalets, 2 suites, and 3 family rooms, all featuring comfortable amenities such as air conditioning, mosquito nets, toiletries, hair dryers, and personal safes. The open-plan central lodge facility incorporates reception, lounge, dining, and bar areas, while the swimming pool offers scenic views of the lagoon. Guests can also enjoy meals in the restaurant, relax in the fully-stocked bar, and make use of facilities like the photographic studio, outdoor gym, library, and Bush-Spa.

The lodge is easily accessible via Mfuwe International Airport, with a 45-minute transfer from the airport to the lodge. The South Luangwa experiences mild winter days from May to mid-August and generally warm conditions from September through April. The dry season spans from May to October, while the rainy season occurs from November through April. The hottest months are October and November before the onset of the rainy season around mid-November.
