Tafika Camp – Remote Africa Safaris
Tafika Camp, located on the east bank of the Luangwa River, north of the Nsefu Sector in South Park, offers a serene bush experience. The camp provides exceptional game viewing and a range of activities including day and night drives, mountain bike safaris, walking safaris, visits to the local Mkasanga Village, and microlighting in May. Two hides overlook the camp waterhole, attracting various wildlife such as elephant, bushbuck, puku, impala, mongoose, and diverse bird species. Tafika grants access to three diverse habitats: Luangwa riverside, Mutanda plains, and salt pans, with opportunities to spot serval and crowned crane. The camp’s owner-run setup ensures great in-camp game viewing and an exclusive experience with a limit of four people per vehicle during activities. Additionally, Tafika offers exclusive access to a yellow-billed stork colony in May and is known as a hotspot for leopard, lion, wild dog, elephant, giraffe, puku, hippo, and crocodile sightings. The camp provides solar communal charging areas (220V), USB charging ports in the chalets, solar fans, limited Wi-Fi (available from 6:00 to 16:00), communal dining (with private dining available upon request), and the option to pre-book private game viewing vehicles for maximum flexibility (additional charges apply).
