Watery Berry Lodge

Waterberry Zambezi Lodge

Waterberry is a beautiful lodge nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River, directly opposite Victoria Falls National Park. It’s the perfect retreat to recover from long international flights or the early morning and late night safari activities.

Known for its excellent food and friendly, enthusiastic staff, Waterberry is equally famous for its luxurious gardens and stunning river views. The thatched rooms, situated around the lawns or along the riverbank, are all en-suite and feature air conditioning, mosquito nets, fans, and private terraces. These cozy spots are ideal for relaxing, enjoying a quiet drink, or having a private dinner.

Conveniently located just half an hour’s drive from Livingstone International Airport or two hours from Victoria Falls International Airport, the lodge offers a serene escape. The only sounds to disturb the night are those of frogs, lions, and hyenas, with birdsong filling the day.

Guests gather to eat, drink, and share stories in the restaurant, viewing lounge, and sundeck overlooking the river. The swimming pool provides a refreshing place for exercise or a relaxing spot to enjoy a book and a beer.

Sunset cruises on the Zambezi are a highlight—imagine floating down the river with a cool drink in hand, spotting elephants, hippos, and crocodiles on the riverbank, and witnessing your first African sunset just 24 hours from home.

Waterberry is just 40 minutes from Victoria Falls, making it an ideal stop at the beginning or end of a Zambian safari adventure or as a short break to visit the world-famous waterfall. Livingstone, the adventure capital, offers thrilling activities from walking the Falls and feeling the spray of millions of liters of water, to whitewater rafting in the world’s most famous rapids, or flying over the breathtaking sight in a helicopter or microlight.
